Eco (Ecology) Art Series

Eco Art

I started taking a course at ‘The GEM Center For The Arts’ in Boise and it is great inspiration for a new series of Eco friendly art. It is taught by ‘Alek de Dochas’ who is an artist that has developed his style as ‘Eco Art’.  It is a six week series and I hope to continue on from there with more environmentaly friendly art. Can I make my art without buying art supplies? Or just purchasing eco friendly supplies? Found items would be the very best.

This is the piece I am working on now, ‘Is it Windy?”

The branch is from the large Sycamore tree in our front garden. And the tumbleweeds were ‘harvested’ on Swan Falls Road during a crazy, windy tumbleweed storm that we drove through.

The Alpaca Fiber is from an Alpaca Ranch near Marsing, Fireball Alpacas or
‘I Make Yarn’. He had a beautiful Alpaca Ranch and roving center with approx. 80 Alpacas on site. His property overlooks the Snake River across from Marsing, ID and is a very scenic setting..

I decided on 4/20/18 that this piece is finished and is the beginning of a series. More updates to follow as I travel on down the path of Eco Art.
